SKY played some extraordinary shots in his innings and helped his team in putting up a total of 218/5 on the scoreboard. Suryakumar Yadav faced only 49 deliveries and his innings included 11 fours and 6 sixes. Soon after the MI innings came to an end, social media was flooded with reactions praising SKY for his knock and this is how the cricket fraternity reacted:

As far as the match is concerned, Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans won the toss and decided to bowl first. MI got a good start as the openers – Ishan Kishan (31 runs, 20 balls, 4 fours & 1 six) and skipper Rohit Sharma (29 runs, 18 balls, 3 fours & 2 sixes) produced a partnership of 61 runs for the first wicket. After they both got out, it was Suryakumar Yadav who ripped apart the GT bowling lineup, though Rashid Khan bowled pretty well as he dismissed 4 MI batters but he was also not able to control the storm created by SKY.

In response, GT had a bad start as they lost their top three batters pretty soon – Wriddhiman Saha (2 runs), Shubman Gill (6 runs) and skipper Hardik Pandya (4 runs). Though Vijay Shankar (29 runs, 14 balls, 6 fours) and David Miller (41 runs, 26 balls, 4 fours & 2 sixes) tried to keep the chase alive, they were dismissed soon and GT lost 7 wickets by the time they touched the three digit mark. Rashid Khan performed well with bat as well as he smashed 79 runs not out (32 balls, 3 fours & 10 sixes) but still GT fell short by 27 runs and they could manage only 191/8 in their stipulated 20 overs.

SKY has no limits!
