Cricket is undoubtedly the most popular sport in India and Indian fans love and adore not only Indian cricketers but the players of other nations as well. While some cricketers are famous just because of their game, several others get recognition due to some particular style.

Sheldon Cottrell, the West Indian cricketer who is playing for Kings XI Punjab in the IPL 2020 presently has impressed fans with his bowling as well as his salute.

Sheldon conducts his salute celebration after taking a wicket and this has made him more popular among the cricket lovers including the kids. Sheldon told the little girl that her video made his day and also apologized for not being able to find the tweet earlier. Sheldon wrote, “Sorry Jiya I couldn’t find this tweet earlier. Just wanted to say you light up my day.”

Apart from being a good player, 31 years old Sheldon Cottrell is also a good human being as he remembered that he talked to the same family six months ago and this family from Chennai was having problem due to no work amid the coronavirus lockdown. Jiya’s family is in wedding business but no weddings took place during the lockdown.

Sheldon tweeted, “6 months ago you told me about the situation of your family working in Chennai in the wedding industry with no weddings. Forget cricket for a minute. I pray things are improving and if not – what can we do to support?”

This must have touched the hearts of many Indians and it gives us one more reason to support Sheldon and KXIP.
