Comedian Shares Video On How To Speak English Like Shashi Tharoor, The MP’s Reaction Is Epic
English language is given importance in India to such an extent that a person who is fluent in English is considered to be superior to a person who is not so good in English. What makes it worrisome is that the local languages are ignored because of English and if someone has to get a good job, especially in the private sector, he/she is expected to be proficient in English.
There are many Indian politicians who are famous for their illogical statements and acts but there are few Indian leaders who are known for their intellectual ability and education and one such politician is Shashi Tharoor. He is Congress MP from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, and is known for amazing English skills as well as for deriving new English words.
There is no denying the fact that speaking English like Shashi Tharoor is a very difficult task but a stand-up comedian Akbar Chaudry from Karachi, Pakistan, came up with a funny video in which he told people three steps for speaking English like Shashi Tharoor.
The first step is to make a smoothie from Oxford dictionary and drink it, the second step requires you to get a drip from dictionary and the one from the video of Shashi Tharoor while in the third step, you have to make a fine powder of Oxford dictionary and snort it.
Here is the video:

The video was watched by the Indian politician Shashi Tharoor as well and quite interestingly, he too laughed at it and asked Akbar Chaudry to make the next video on Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Good one Akbar. It's high time the English request Dr. Tharoor to update the Oxford dictionary which is outdated and rename it to Thiruvananthpuram Dictionary pic.twitter.com/Ps2wPhfLIo

@ShashiTharoor everyone has a softer side and we do love it from our beloved politicians too. They look all to serious on TVs every single time. Channels should also take a lighter path at times. I really admire you sir. Keep Smiling always

Refreshing to see a top level Indian politician embracing social media in a healthy way. Not afraid to laugh at himself.
And not afraid to tag someone else from outside the border.

Well that was pretty amusing and it’s creditable on the part of Shashi Tharoor that he also praised the comedian’s talent instead of getting offended or angry. What do you say?
