Mohd. Yousuf Gives It Back To Kohli’s Critics Over Hitting Tons, “Jitney Praise Karo Isko Kum Hai”

//

Virat Kohli led IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore has been performing pretty well in the IPL 2021, though it has lost its last match against Punjab Kings (PBKS) which was played yesterday at the Narendra Modi stadium, Ahmedabad. RCB is at the third position in the points table with 5 wins and 2 defeats in the 7 matches that it has played till now.

Virat Kohli has been leading from the front and performing well in the IPL 2021 but if we take a look at his international career, he has not been able to make a big score for quite some time now. The last time when Virat Kohli scored a century was in Nov 2019 against Bangladesh in a test match which was played at Kolkata.

However, the former Pakistani cricketer Mohammad Yousuf has come in support of the Indian skipper, saying that Virat is just 32 years old and this is time when the top batsmen hit their prime, adding that it is just a matter of time that Virat will start scoring centuries again. Yousuf goes to say that whatever Virat has already achieved is really great and scoring 70 International centuries in both the formats (ODIs and test matches) is certainly extreme.

During an interview to a leading daily, Mohammad Yousuf also talks about the comparison between Virat Kohli and the legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. Yousuf adds that how much we praise Virat Kohli, it is not sufficient (jitney praise karo isko kum hai) but there is no comparison between him and Sachin Tendulkar.

According to Mohammad Yousuf, Sachin Tendulkar is of different class and scoring 100 international centuries is a big achievement plus we should also not forget the bowlers whom he faced.

The former Pakistani cricketer accepts that the Indian batsmen are technically more sound in comparison to the Pakistani batsmen when they have some great icons to look up to. He concludes by calling himself lucky enough to be coached by former Pakistani cricketer Javed Miandad and also added that he took inspiration from great Pakistani batsmen – Saeed Anwar and Inzamam-Ul-Haq.

We are also quite sure that it is just a matter of time that Virat Kohli will start hitting hundreds once again. What do you think?
