Disappointed Fans React With Memes As Virat Kohli Again Fails In Hitting A Century In 3rd ODI
The Indian cricket team’s England tour ended in a grand manner as India won the 3-match ODI series by 2-1 after winning the T20I series as well. The third and the final match of the series was played yesterday at Old Trafford Cricket Ground, Greater Manchester, and India won it by 5 wickets. Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya played some really beautiful cricket and scored big innings when their team needed it the most while chasing a target of 260. While Rishabh Pant played a blistering knock of 125 runs not out, Hardik Pandya gave an all-round performance as he took 4 wickets as well as scored 71 runs.
However, fans of Virat Kohli got disappointed once again and their hopes of seeing the former Indian skipper scoring his 71st century got quashed because Virat got out on the score of 17 on the bowling of Reece Topley when he gave a simple catch to the wicketkeeper. Though he looked in good touch, he failed in making a big score for a long time and this is the first time that the former RCB skipper hasn’t been able to touch even the 20 runs mark in 5 consecutive ODIs.
As Virat Kohli returned to pavilion leaving the team in a problematic situation, desi Twitterati got active and expressed their anguish, frustration and annoyance in the form of memes that will make you laugh while crying over the GOAT’s century draught. Here are some selected reactions:

Virat Kohli won’t accompany the Indian team which is going on the West Indies tour where it will play 3 ODIs and 5 T20Is starting from July 22.
While there are reports that Virat has himself asked the selectors not to consider him for this tour, speculations are rife that the former skipper has been dropped or rested by the selectors.
Many former cricketers and experts were of the opinion that Virat Kohli has a better chance to get back in form in ODIs because he may take some time to settle down unlike T20Is in which a batsman has to start hitting from the very first ball. However, his continuous poor run has left some of his ardent fans in a hopeless situation and yesterday’s ODI was the last one that Virat Kohli played before the Asia Cup which is going to take place in Sri Lanka during August and September this year.
