The fourth test match between India and Australia which is being played at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad has reached a stage where draw seems to be the highest probability. While the Aussies posted a big total of 480 runs on the score board in their first innings, the Indians responded in a bigger manner by scoring 571 runs and the highlight of the Indian innings was Virat Kohli’s knock of 186 runs as he ended his century drought by smashing his 28th test hundred. Shubman Gill also cemented his place in the side as an opener by scoring 128 runs and India took a lead of 91 runs. With just one day of game remaining in the match, a decision seems a distant possibility.

Earlier, the Aussie skipper Steve Smith won the toss and chose to bat first, his batters proved his decision correct as they didn’t give many chances to the Indian bowlers to take wickets on the first day of the test match. While Usman Khawaja (180 runs) played a patient innings, Cameron Green played a quick knock of 114 runs and helped his team in posting a good total.

The Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin who played an important role in wrapping the first innings of Australia by dismissing six batters including Cameron Green was also very impressed with the 23 yrs old Aussie cricketer.

While addressing the media, when Ashwin was asked to comment on Cameron Green, he referred to the IPL auctions and said that it gives an idea as to how the Indian cricket fraternity rates him. In the IPL auctions, Mumbai Indians has purchased Cameron Green for Rs. 17.5 crore which makes him the most expensive player in the history of the IPL.

Ashwin states that Cameron Green is a fantastic cricketer, a raw talent who is tall, has good batting style and sense, moves well and hits the deck in a pretty good manner while bowling. According to Ashwin, he is once-in-a-generation cricketer, however he adds that they both come from different countries and it is difficult to protect a cricketer like him in India for long as here it is all about perform or perish. Ashwin further says that in countries like England and Australia, such cricketers are nurtured pretty well and he expects Cameron Green to become a great cricketer in the future.
