RRR’s ‘Naatu Naatu’ & ‘The Elephant Whisperers’ Won Oscars, Proud Moment For India
History has been scripted at the 95th Academy Awards as “Naatu Naatu”, the song from SS Rajamouli directed “RRR” has won the Oscars in the Best Original Song but there is one more reason to be happy for the Indians. Kartiki Gonsalves directed “The Elephant Whisperers” has won the Oscar in the Best Documentary Short category and what makes it more special is the fact that it was the directorial debut of Kartiki.
“RRR” which starred Ram Charan and Jr. NTR in the lead roles was a very big hit in India and in overseas as well, it was getting a lot of love from audiences. Earlier, “Naatu Naatu” won the Golden Globe award in the best original song category and now it has once again made the country proud by winning the Oscars. The Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone who introduced the song on the stage also got emotional when “RRR” won the Oscars.
