“Rishabh Pant Became Better Since Dhoni…” Ganguly Speaks On Missing Irreplaceable DC Star In IPL
The IPL 2023 hasn’t started well for the IPL team Delhi Capitals as it is on the 8th spot with 2 losses in the 2 matches that have been played by the team. The Delhi team is playing under the captaincy of new captain David Warner as Rishabh Pant has been ruled out of the league because of the car accident that he had few months back.
The Director of Cricket of Delhi Capitals – Sourav Ganguly who has also served as the skipper of the Indian cricket team and ex-President of the BCCI, had a conversation with some reporters in which he said that there is no doubt Rishabh Pant is being missed but this is also an opportunity for the other players to rise to the occasion.
He further says that Rishabh Pant will be missed by them in the season as players like him or Bumrah or Shreyas Iyer are irreplaceable in the franchise tournaments. He adds that he see this as an opportunity for some other player to become better as Rishabh Pant also becomes better only after MS Dhoni took retirement from the game.
Dada goes on to say that this is the way to produce good players and you can see that Shubman Gill, Ruturaj Gaikwad, etc. are getting better. He adds that undoubtedly Rishabh Pant is being missed but the most important thing is his recovery.
DC will play its next match on 8th April 2023 against Rajasthan Royals at Barsapara Stadium, Guwahati.
