One of the biggest problems that DC is facing is the poor form of their opening batter Prithvi Shaw who has scored only 47 runs in 6 matches including 2 ducks. Prithvi Shaw has been an important part of DC for quite some time now and this is the reason that the team management is supporting him even after so many disappointing performances but Twitterati feel that he is all set to be axed after his failure in the 6th match.

In the sixth match, Prithvi Shaw got out for just 13 runs (11 balls, 2 fours) while chasing a small target of 128 runs, the good thing is that the DC skipper David Warner is in good form and he has played some really good innings in this tournament.

After watching Prithvi Shaw’s failure in the sixth match, netizens trolled him left and right; here are some selected reactions:

The match was played at Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium, New Delhi, and David Warner chose to bowl first after winning the toss. The DC bowlers were bang on target as they wrapped the whole KKR team for just 127 runs, the highest scorer for KKR was Jason Roy (43 runs, 39 balls5 fours & 1 six) and Andre Russell also made a useful contribution of 38 runs (31 balls, 1 four & 4 sixes) towards the end of the innings.

DC successfully chased the target of 128 with 4 wickets in hand and 4 balls remaining in their innings and David Warner once again played a captain’s knock as he scored 57 runs for which he played 41 deliveries and his innings included 11 fours.

Will the DC team management still back Prithvi Shaw or will he be replaced by some other cricketer? What do you think? Let us know your views.
